Latest Updates from Our Project:

Thank you + Next Steps
about 8 years ago – Sun, Feb 14, 2016 at 12:20:02 PM

Thank you for making our project a reality! A few things need to happen before we can kick off production and fulfillment.

Here's a quick rundown:

First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so we have the money to make/order the rewards (this can take up to two weeks).

Second, we have to find out and where we need to ship them. We will send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information.

We will give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You will not need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email will contain a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.

If you need to change your survey responses, add or remove add-ons, or update your shipping information, you can click on the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)

If you prefer, you can just message us and give us your information, but answering your survey will help us get your rewards out to you quicker. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.

If you used Facebook to log into your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you'd prefer to use, please message us.

Again, thanks for all your support.

Backerkit strongly recommend waiting at least 14 days after the end of a campaign before sending out surveys to backers. Many backers' credit cards fail on Kickstarter, so they give them a week after the end of the campaign to update their card info and lock in their pledge. Then, it takes up to another week to process all cards and deliver the money and the corrected backer list to you.

So basically we just need to be patient for a couple of days and hope that payments go well.

Meanwhile we can show you some progress for 2 Games and EmuLA

Amiworx is now ready to begin with Projekt Lila for Amiga and indieGO! and provided a first prototype running on an Amiga.

First test on an 68k Amiga

Also Michael St Neitzel has made huge progress with Amiga Racer. In the next weeks he will add also Multiplayer for up to 16 Players over the internet.

New HUD, weather simulation based on real weather data and a Track Editor : )

The developer itself explained the idea and shows in game features (2nd half of the video)

Besides this it seems that Kai (who did those nice decals) will do some more work for us.

EmuLA is progressing nicely and I would like to have Kai working on the graphics for it to give it also a nice appeal.

Here is a video about the latest EmuLA build for Windows which uses placeholder graphics for internal use (not showing final release content - this is where Kai will kick in).

The video shows some of the features of EmuLA.

 Stay tuned : )

Final Hours ! - More decals and a Forum
about 8 years ago – Sat, Feb 13, 2016 at 06:35:06 AM

We're now in the last 10 hours of our campaign! We'd like to thank all of our backers for making this project such an amazing success!

The project is currently over 890% funded thanks to all of you. To all those who are thinking of becoming a backer, now's your chance.

Current backers can upgrade to any reward at any time! During the Survey, powered by backerkit. ( please check Update #39 for details and how simply it is)

Kai did it again and has created 2 new decals for the indieGO! (Egyptian and Steampunk)

Click here to find an updated overview showing all decal options

Meanwhile we have also added a FORUM -Link on www.indiego-gaming.com . You will find there an indieGO! console sub-forum and a "German speakers" sub-forum. If there is demand we could also provide an italian speakers sub-forum.

The account activation for the Forum may take a while because we will manually approve registrations to keep out spam-bots.

We wish you all a nice day and hope to to see you at the finish line ; )

Stretch goal reached ! And another release on indieGO! CDROM
about 8 years ago – Sun, Feb 07, 2016 at 10:54:52 AM

Hi,

you've made it again! We have reached the 55.000€ Stretch goal!

Every console will now include 3 games extra from Piko Interactive.

We are glad to announce another game next to Projekt Lila, Oh No! More Aliens, Dudes on Fire, Legends and Iron Commando, which will be available as digital download and printed on CD for the indieGO!

This time it is an RPG from Piko Interactive's portfolio.

Our Backers will get this games at a discounted price on our Backerkit page. Everyone who comes later would need to pay the full price. The CD-ROM version will cost later 29€ plus shipping and for Kickstarter Backers it will be 24 and no shipping costs.

Short summary with some goodies our Backers get more compared to the rest of the world:

  • We've doubled the storage for the early console bundles from 16 to 32 and 32 to 64GB. (later consoles will feature 32GB expandable via external storage or internal Harddrive)
  • You get free 25GB cloud storage and (part of an reached stretch goal) a client for your PC, MAC or Amiga to use it there as well. Later customers will get only 5GB for free (not bad at all)
  • Your names will be part of the console box-art
  • You get a gift card worth 15€ usable for commercial downloads
  • You get discounts on games and also for the retrode2  (see here)
  • We create a retro scene demo which will be shown on Evoke 2016 including our backers names.
  • You get a special indieGO! Edition of the multiplayer fun game Tanks Furry
  • You get our game G.E.M.Z for free

and more.

Long story short:

6 days to go : )

As soon the campaign ends, we will add here a link to our backerkit website (and invite you via email). This site will be also embedded on our own website www.indiego-gaming.com

There will be also an option for others to pre-order the console but not for the same conditions as our backers during the campaign.

A big THANK YOU and virtual high five to all our Backers!

First Box-Art designs should be ready before the campaign is over.

The indieGO!(™) (hehe yes ™ please) box-art template will be made freely available for non-commercial use and commercial use if the developer puts his game also into the indieGO! Appstore library.

Personally I am also checking the possibility of a suggested peripheral which could add a 3.5" disc drive to the indieGO! in form of a stack which could be placed below it. (Greetings to Kay : ) )

Are you interested in 3D / VR glasses ?
about 8 years ago – Fri, Feb 05, 2016 at 04:11:32 PM

The Oculus rift has started a hype about VR gaming and a lot of their backers can now be quite happy because they've got it at a much lower price than normal customers will need to pay.

The world is quite small it seems : )

A few year ago an italian gaming store (gameshock.it) believed in our indieGO! Appstore for AmigaOS and AROS while other didn't and supported us with Hardware and some euros to speed up our work.

It resulted also in AEROS for Amiqube (a rebranded cubox-i).

I found out that they have started a Kickstarter campaign about VR glasses.

This one will work with consoles and PC. And because it doesn't need drivers, also with the indieGO!

Of course it would make the most sense to use it with Android (remember you can reboot to Android on the indieGO! and play modern games if you like). On AEROS and indieGO! OS you could also play games like Jedi Knight and Doom 3 for example (at least on the Ondroid XU4 version) and other modern games available for Linux...

Some retro games like Descent 1 + 2 could make some extra fun as well : )

I've found a video on Youtube about some VR Games available for Android.

So I think if cross promotion.. than this one ; )

While talking about Android.. Many people have asked about PS2 emulation and while there is "Play!" an PS2 emulator for ARM it would not work in full speed (at least for now). Or even worse in a sort of slow motion even on the odroid.

So this is the moment where Android becomes handy because a lot of the PS2 games are available on Android (1:1 or similar) :
